Mr. Givens is a Principal at Capstone Financial and is responsible for loan origination/debt structuring as well as marketing and overall growth of the firm. He has worked on over 1,000 single tenant transactions totaling over $1B in debt as well as over $2B in combined debt and equity on other asset types including hospitality, multi-family and retail development nationwide. He has been a guest speaker on several real estate panels across the country and is a consultant for various banks, lending institutions and other groups on the net lease and commercial real estate sectors.
Mr. Givens holds a BS from Westminster College with a double major in Business and Economics.
Jon Faulkenberg is a Principal at Capstone Financial. Responsibilities include credit review, underwriting, loan origination and overseeing the financial operations of Capstone Financial. Prior to Capstone, Mr. Faulkenberg worked at an accounting firm, Old National Bank and Fifth Third Bank where he gained experience in commercial credit, loan origination and taxation. He has analyzed and originated over $1B in loan production.
Mr. Faulkenberg has a Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Evansville with a major in Finance.
Michael is a Managing Director at Capstone Financial in the St. Louis Office. He is responsible for loan origination as well as overall growth of the firm including team members and programs. He has 20+ years of commercial real estate experience and prior to joining Capstone spent 13 years with Northmarq Capital where he originated nearly $1B in commercial loans. Michael spent 2 ½ years in Des Moines, IA as an asset manager for the Principal Financial Group. His duties at Principal included the asset management of a portfolio of 2 million square feet of office, industrial and retail properties around the Midwest. From 1997 until mid-year 2001, Michael acted as an investment sales associate for Colliers where he listed and brokered the sale of a number of prominent St. Louis institutional office and industrial properties amounting to over $50 million in sales volume and over 1 million square feet. He graduated from Truman State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration and Economics. In 1999 and 2000 Michael graduated from St. Louis University with a Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration. Michael is a native of St. Louis, Missouri and holds a Missouri Real Estate Broker’s License.
Ken brings 30+ years of commercial real estate experience and was a bank president in Florida for over 6 years. Throughout his career, he has managed and originated over $2B in commercial real estate portfolios and he brings a strong knowledge base in underwriting and closing every type of commercial project type in his various banking capacities.
Rod Douglas Im is a Director at Capstone Financial in Irvine, CA, where Capstone is expanding it’s Commercial Mortgage footprint in Southern California. He has over 20 years commercial real estate experience in the California area, including debt origination, equity and capital raising, bridge, construction lending, asset management, investments, business unit manager, and business intelligence.
He has deep domain knowledge and experience in originating commercial real estate capital and providing client value added.
He has originated over $1B in commercial real estate capital and investment transactions.
His background includes commercial real estate experience at Johnson Capital, JP Morgan Chase (13 years), Bank of America, and Nevander Asset Management.
He graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
Don previously served as Senior Vice President in the Real Estate Solutions group at PNC/Midland Loan Services where he worked for over 22 years. Recent areas of responsibility included the management of Midland's commercial mortgage refinancing program and evaluation and pricing of Special Servicing and subordinate CMBS investment opportunities. In that role he managed the refinancing of over $1B in commercial loans through a nationwide network of CMBS, multifamily agencies, life companies and private lenders. Previous areas of responsibility included management of CMBS Securitization, Portfolio Analytics, Collateral Surveillance, loan and REO sales and auctions, and valuation and risk rating of CMBS bonds, loans and real estate.
Mr Coleman attended the University of Colorado School of Business where he earned a BS In Business with a finance emphasis and an MBA specializing in Real Estate. He also obtained a real estate broker's license in Colorado. Mr. Coleman has been an active participant in industry trade groups including the Mortgage Bankers Association and the Commercial Real Estate Finance Council for 20 years.
John is a Kansas City native with more than 20 years experience in real estate banking, lending and finance. Starting in retail finance as a new business originator he moved to wholesale producer, Regional Business Development Manager and National Vice President of Sales. As a Regional Manager of Business Development for HSBC Group, N.A. John was part of a team that annually produced more than $1B in new real estate loan volume. Most recently he has sourced commercial real estate loans and equity for new construction, acquisition and permanent finance terms. John has a B.A. from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI.
Ken Higgins is the Senior Analyst at Capstone Financial. His responsibilities include managing and overseeing all loan processing, assisting with loan originations, underwriting, marketing, and managing the entire loan financing process for Capstone. Prior to Capstone Financial, Mr. Higgins worked for a large real estate firm in Springfield, Missouri. He has processed and closed over $500 million in real estate loans.
Mr. Higgins holds a Bachelor of Science from Missouri State University with a major in Marketing Research.
